A bit about me
Well let's see... for starters, I consider myself really lucky to live in what I consider to be one of the most amazing places in the world - the beautiful Pacific Northwest (about an hour south of Seattle to be exact). I was born here and have lived here most of my life. I share a home with my husband and our silly, lovable dog named Abbie.
Amongst other things, I'm a long-time entrepreneur, occasional vegetable gardener, animal and nature lover, and a bit of a podcast enthusiast to say the least. I love movies and great books, delicious whole plant-based foods, coffee, wine, traveling, music, and doing just about anything fun outdoors.
I'm passionate about a lot of things, and right at the top of the list is helping other busy women make transformative daily self-care a reality. I want to do whatever I can to help my ambitious sisters everywhere attain (and maintain) the energy, stamina, and good health that is so vital to performing ones best - in all areas of life. I say... we've got one shot at this life, so let's be unstoppable!
Let me be clear... I'm not a dietitian, nutritionist, or medical professional of any kind. What I am though... is a person who is incredibly passionate about learning all I can about the power of natural medicine (including nutrition), and holistic self-care in general - I've been doing that for over 20 years now.
Why? Because about the time I hit my late twenties, life decided to give me a good old fashioned b*tch slap - HARD! I don't know if it was meant to be a wake-up call from the universe (as in... Stacee, you're not indestructible ya know) or it was part of a bigger plan (perhaps what I'm doing now) but it was rough - really rough. Up until that time I'd always been very healthy, which I'm incredibly grateful for. Then came the day when seemingly out of nowhere, I contracted a wicked virus, the aftermath of which knocked me on my butt for the better part of 2 years. To say I was miserable would be an understatement.
My once healthy immune system was left seriously depleted, which caused a whole host of problems. Traditional medical doctors told me that there was nothing they could do for me... "you just have to wait until your immune system rebuilds itself - it could take up to 5 years before you're 100% back to normal" they said. My reaction? To hell with that! There has to be something I can do... a faster way to fix this, and I'm going to find it. And so I did.
That's when my knowledge-seeking journey into the world of natural medicine and my holistic self-care practice began - and it continues. I'll forever remain a life-long student and practitioner - it's just part of who I am now. I learn it, I live it, then I share it. Sharing what I learn has been one of my favorite things to do for as long as I can remember, especially when I believe it can help make someone's life better in some way.
It's probably a good thing that I learned I'm not invincible prior to starting my entrepreneurial journey, as I'm quite sure that I would've learned that lesson the hard way at some point anyway. After all, I was a junk-food-eating, virtually-non-exercising, regularly-sleep-deprived bundle of ambition and fun - and needless to say, that's a combination that always makes a person pay the price sooner or later. It was difficult enough being a full-time employee, parenting, and trying to keep a household going while dealing with that level of illness, so to think about having to run my own business in that condition... I can't imagine. That's why I'm all-in on doing whatever I can to avoid that, and trying to help other busy women do the same.
Discovering new and different ways to build my busy life on a stable foundation, one that includes proper self-care, is an ongoing process - not always easy, but always worth it. If sharing what I learn with others enables even one women to not only avoid the physical burnout that so often accompanies hustling hard and chasing dreams, but also enables her to truly thrive in all the important areas of her life, well then... mission accomplished!

She's been a small business owner for over 13 years, and knows firsthand the physical and mental demands that come along with that lifestyle choice. She's studied and practiced a variety of healthy ways to navigate that territory over the years, and is now dedicated to helping other busy women understand the importance of consistent proper self-care, as well as how to make it a reality when they have an already-hectic schedule. Her goal is to help as many women as possible attain (and maintain) the energy, stamina, and wellness required to perform at their best in all areas of their lives.
Stacee shares a wide variety of practical yet transformative holistic self-care tips and info, both online and off. She addresses topics such as... eating a nourishing and energizing diet, hydration, resting and recharging, restorative movement, stress management, and social connection - just to name a few.
Stacee speaks from first-hand experience when it comes to just how powerful natural, holistic self-care is - not only when it comes to high performance and the preservation of wellness, but also as it pertains to healing the body when something goes awry. In her late twenties, she contracted a serious virus that depleted her immune system for the better part of two years. It was then that she found her way into the world of natural medicine, and began rebuilding her health by applying the practices she was learning about. Since then her knowledge of, and appreciation for, natural holistic self-care has only deepened.
Along the way, Stacee came to the realization that perhaps the most powerful natural medicine is food - whole plant-based foods in particular. Upon learning about their incredible nourishing and health-promoting properties, she became inspired to study plant-based nutrition - in fact, she earned a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell.
Stacee discovered her knack and enthusiasm for educating and mentoring others during her long and diverse stint in the corporate world where she spent several years honing her training, marketing and managing skills. She's been a successful entrepreneur since 2006, and lives in the Pacific Northwest near Seattle.
